Home again Sunday night after three whole days away from William (now 11 months) and gorgeous husband. My first nights away since baby #1 was born… and hoping to fit a few more in before #2 arrives in August.
Saturday spent at the British Humanist Association conference in London. Talks by philosopher AC Grayling, journalist Johan Hari and Lord Warner of Brockley meant that I felt very cerebral. Came away with a car sticker and business ideas scrawled in red pen in my diary. Not sure any are any good, but I fall into a dreamlike state at conferences where it seems anything is possible. Then spotting the Telegraph mention dusted the whole day in icing sugar…
Which contrasts rather nicely with today. I’m off on Thursday and Friday school volunteering for Young Enterprise, so desperately trying to fit work in – even though no “official” work time from lovely husband (he’ll have the little chap full time while I’m enterprising). Orders to fulfil, compacts to fettle, and hopefully a press release to write, whilst herding an increasingly ferret-like William. And the weather’s awful.
